How do your presentations/newsletters/blogs rate?
November 7th, 2005 by Todd Van Hoosear
Michael Katz’ newsletters are never boring. They’d better not be–he’s an authority on newsletters. Sure, occasionally they’re quite silly–like his recent “PENGUIN” score, a tool to assess the effectiveness of your communications–but they’re always interesting, and I usually read them, which is more than I can say for most newsletters I get.
Katz writes: “The worst kept secret in business communications is boredom. Boring newsletters, boring presentations, mundane, run-of-the-mill, boring emails–all of this and more is what we’ve come to tolerate and expect from business messages.”
