Web 2.0 notes from the Mass Tech Leadership Council….
January 24th, 2007 by Tony Sapienza
The Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council has always been a gathering point for insights and perspectives on technology trends, and this was clearly the case at the Council’s annual meeting held earlier this week. Newly-elected Governor Deval Patrick, who talked about his vision for technology development and education, outlined plans for first-ever weekly podcasts designed to enable him to deliver updates on recent activities and upcoming priorities.
And in keeping with the social media theme, a group of the Bay State’s brightest minds engaged in a panel discussion focused on Web 2.0. Finally, Topaz was one of a handful of Massachusetts firms that showcased Web 2.0 services for the meeting’s 400+ attendees. With this focus on social media, it’s only fitting that Topaz offers this podcast from the meeting. Topaz’s Tim Allik caught up with four Massachusetts tech leaders — Bob Zurick of IBM, Gary McAuliffe of Hosted Solutions, Paul Gillin of Gillin Communications, and the Council’s Lois Johnson — and asked them to share their thoughts on the coming year.
