Bring the social media gospel to DC
June 9th, 2007 by Tony Sapienza
A few days ago, I blogged about a PRSA conference in NYC where I’ll be presenting on blogs, vlogs, podcasting and other forms of social media that are expanding the world of PR.
I’ll be taking a similar message to our nation’s capital this coming Tuesday as part of Bulldog Reporter’s Media Relations 2007 conference. The theme of the 2-day event being held in Washington DC is “Breaking the Mold: New Media, New Messages and New Technologies” and that clearly characterizes the panel I’m part of.
I’ll be joining Bill Bonner from Office Max and Lloyd Trufelman from TrylonSMR to talk about “Using New Techniques to Create Buzz, Viral and WOM Marketing”. This is one of several panels that make up the “New PR Technology” track and I’ll be anxious to see how interest levels compare with panels that deal with some of the more traditional PR topics.
I’ll report back from the conference — and the reaction from attendees to the social media message. If you’re planning to attend the conference — or are in the DC area and want to hook up — drop me an email at tsapienza@topazpartners.com.
