Topaz joins Friends at Social Media Breakfast Tomorrow: "How Twitter Changed My Life"
February 12th, 2008 by Doug
The 5th edition of the “Social Media Breakfast” series conceived by Bryan Person take place tomorrow (Wed., Feb 13, 2007). The sponsor is Mzinga.
The topic? “How Twitter changed has changed my life — and can change yours.”
The presenters include a number of folks who have overcome the initial “what the hell is this waste of time Web site” reaction and gotten a lot of benefit out of Twitter, both personal and professional.
I am fortunate to be included among them:
- Jim Storer, Mzinga (on Twitter)
- Scott Monty, crayon (on Twitter)
- Laura Fitton, Pistachio Consulting (on Twitter)
- Doug Haslam, Topaz Partners (on Twitter)
Presentations will be brief, in the spirit of Twitter’s 140-character limit for messages. Even better, no PowerPoint allowed.
I am looking forward to this event tomorrow, and will be sure to report on the proceedings.

I think Twitter was a big reason my Steak ‘n Shake incident got the attention it did!

Steve Garfield was trying to stream it live (http://www.stevegarfield.com/live) but apparently had some connectivity issues, but as soon as they’re fixed I’m sure we’ll have a link for you.
