		<description>Tend to agree - Tons of people are talking about the ads so they are a success. Great products are really the gauge after the buzz dies down - after all Apple has always had interesting ads (See &quot;1984&quot; from Chiat) but no real guaranteed winners until the iPod/iPhone. 

I think CEO Steve Ballmer got sick of Apple ad digs (and growing market share and stock price) and determined throwing money at Crispin Porter + Bogusky ad agency was the best way to cut through clutter and get ink. Sorry CP+B and Mr. SB, but better products and business Web initiatives are what will give Microsoft the edge if that&#039;s what it deserves. (Oh yeah, it helps that MSFT has access to lots of business desktops and tons of $ in the bank too).
