More on the Impact of Media Consolidation: Community News Sites

If you’re a subscriber to PRSA’s Tactics, you’ll want to check out a piece in their most recent issue that addresses PR implications of media consolidation. The headline for this viewpoint says it all — “Build your own community news site: Filling a gap left by shrinking newsrooms.” The author, Bob Conrad, talks about a community news site launched by by a group fo Reno communications professionals to fill the gap created by downside news outlets. It’s just another reflection of changing face of PR — and an example of the steps we can all take to help advance the cause of our clients and companies.
